How can social change be made?

Social change leaders are tackling the world biggest challenges from the ground up their strategies offer important lessons for overcoming system at kick and structural barriers and they tend to focus on the process not outcomes.

Let's start with recognising that change is in fact possible in many social purpose organisations around the the world are proof of this...

Their work is mostly unglamorous and happening a lot at local level and therefore is often overlooked but these organisations are sharing a powerful set of principles and practises for how we can respond more effectively to the challenges we face and start to build a more inclusive and sustainable world. These are the 3 main points I need to think about when approaching any brief

- I focus on process not outcomes

- respond today to the challenges of the context with humanity

- Put power in the hands of those closest to the problem

- Arts and culture can serve as a force of change = the world of art needs more social enterprise on the world of social enterprise needs more art interacting with one another could lead to world changing breakthroughs

Rather than losing hope and remaining paralysed we can choose to learn from the organisations that are getting it right even in small ways. We can start to foster new practises and approaches that distributes power to people closest to these challenges and gives them a sense of identity to make the change.

All the below points were the main findings and the points (which got me most interested and thinking the most) from a mixture of articles from world economic forum = I will attach a link to this website if you would like to give it a read and find out more about these really interesting topic, I found the ones with the themes around social innovation most insightful. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/social-enterprises-can-have-a-big-impact/.
