How do I explain my creative practice ?

People often start a conversation when you first meet with, what do you do?

I have always shied away from this question as I believed it was too complicated to explain and people would often look at me so blankly that I would conclude my explanation very quick. However the MA has given me the confidence and reasoning to explain my creative practice and work out an answer where people can understand why design is so important and what my aspirations are in the future.

Previously I would explain in a few words, "UX design, I enjoy designing with the user at the forefront of design choices and changing things to make life more straightforward"

After the first few weeks of MA design I now have a better understanding about why I am a designer, why I became a designer and why I enjoy design so much. I have received a deeper understanding about my creativity and no I do not just say "I loved resistant materials at school and wanted to carry on with something I enjoy".

I am a designer with a particular interest around user centred design. I really enjoy connecting creativity with care and compassion. Design brings a different outlook and really investigates the user groups lifestyle to make big or even small improvements to there day to day life. The creative brain often approaches a scenario with a different way of thinking and values improvement, purpose and change.
