Why is giving and receiving feedback so beneficial ?

An article which i came across and it got me really thinking, i want to create change but do people want change?

Well the short answer is YES!

-People often feel embarrassed or wary about providing feedback to others but new studies have investigated the idea that we may also be reluctant to give feedback because we don't realise how valuable it is to the person receiving it

- No doubt many of us avoid giving feedback it can feel awkward to tell someone but feedback is vital for learning and growth and will improve peoples performances we are often very wary that the feedback could upset the person receiving it or even harm our relationship with them but this has now been proved people are often reluctant to give feedback but don't realise how valuable it is as the person receiving it.

- From this today it is clear that people generally want feedback it's valuable to them and allows them to improve however constructive feedback should be specific actionable and delivered in a timely fashion ...in many cases asking someone if they would like your feedback can be a good start.

- A good point to always remember though is listen to what people are saying and take it on board but make sure you voice is never lost and your creative flare always shines through

All the below points were the main findings and the points (which got me most interested and thinking the most) from a mixture of articles from world economic forum = I will attach a link to this website if you would like to give it a read and find out more about these really interesting topic, I found the ones with the themes around social innovation most insightful. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/social-enterprises-can-have-a-big-impact/.
